The cities Deventer and Zwolle started a coinage of Portugaløser around 1640, but this was quickly forbidden by the Dutch government. The mintage in Deventer was probably less than 20 pcs., and this specimen seems to be the only preserved one.
Excessively rare Portugaløser of great historical and numismatic importance.
