7 Goldgulden 1501, Bern. 24,10 g. Struck with the dies for a 1501 gulden. Mint master Hans Pur.
Obverse: Bernese bear to the left, above the double-headed imperial eagle without a halo. At the top, a semicircle of seven bailiwick coats of arms, an outer circle of coats of arms with another twenty coats of arms from the Bernese dominion.
Reverse: Within an arched border of lilies, Saint Vincent to the left as a martyr with a halo, palm branch, and book of the gospels.
Excessively rare, possibly unique in this weight. A clear and well-struck specimen. Has been removed from a mount and with some metal faults on the reverse, otherwise very fine.
